Well well well, after killing the Grinders off the PC’s have basically pissed in both the spirit warden’s and Inspector’s tea. I’ve had a lot of fun with the spec-ops vibe and hi-tech hulls that the Spirit wardens employ, but what to do with the Inspectors then?

The only inspector that i’ve had onscreen had a badass clockwork arm, so cyborgs maybe? Hordes of bluecoats? Was really sure they’d avoid killing her since I warned them that killing one inspector leads to more problems, so I hadn’t put terribly much thought into it. Cheers!

Couple questions:

Couple questions:

1. Is there a page in the book where it explicitly says you can take abilities from other playbooks? I feel like I saw that the first time I read the book, but I can’t find it now.

2. How are veteran advances supposed to work? I can’t find anything in the book explaining them. Also, you’re mostly supposed to create your own veteran abilities, right? That’s how I read it, but I want to know the intent.

Thanks!

John Harper Please let me know if you prefer not to have this listing in your community. As a fellow backer of this game, we have included it in our platform and wish to share this resource with you all.

We have been hard at work for the past few months to create a platform that allows players to support their Game Masters, who can use it to list their games and build a reputation as fantastic storytellers. You can find this at http://www.LookingForGM.com.

Let me tell you just some of the ways you may benefit from this platform:

– build your reputation as a sensational GM with ratings and testimonials from your players

– have a location for your game listings so you’re not always “looking for a group” within one small community and just watching the listing ending up in the LFG graveyard

– establish yourself as a reputable GM and advance yourself as a professional when we implement payments through the website

– help create a central location for game listings along with a resource center for improving your GM skills as well as showing off your talents

– try new games you might never have otherwise thought of, or been able to find a GM for!

This platform is in its beta stage so please bear with us as we continue to develop it. We look forward to creating a service that the RPG community can benefit from. Join us in creating something truly great that advances the RPG community into a new era of innovation and entrepreneurship.

Tomorrow I will post the 8th chapter of my Blades in the Dark novel, “The Savage Worms of Silkshore.” Backing at any level will grant access to reading the first 8 chapters, so that’s pretty cool. =) That’s the first 1/4 of the book. I’m celebrating the milestone by posting here to remind people this project is in the works.

John Harper does know about this and approve of it, I promise. =)

For those just joining us, the status quo has grown uneasy in Silkshore. The Gondoliers, longtime background authority for keeping crime organized, are slipping as a strange disease is affecting them. Meanwhile, displaced Skovlanders are pushing their way in, looking to turn Silkshore into a home away from home for the refugees.

The story follows two crews that are positioned to shift the balance and make a real difference in how the new status quo settles out. One crew comes from the offices and gardens of privilege, and the other from the hardscrabble streets and canals. As everything slides out of balance, the scoundrels scramble to see to it that the new balance puts them at the center.

Things I am missing from my life:

– Editable Lady Blackbird character sheets

– A Killjoys blades in the dark hack

– A Candlelight dinner with John Harper.

– Money to buy all my RPGs

I know the last two are impossible, but tell me someone has got the previous two…

And yeah, I know about page 56. 😉 Just seems all sort of Akorosian. Maybe?
