The crew decided to do a favour for a smuggler named Hoxley, by โ€˜putting the frightenersโ€™ on a courtesan who liked to frequent a bohemian roof top market in Fogcrest, Silkshore (sorry, sharing my images again).

They went for deception and deployed a substance into her tobacco which would cause a particularly toxic high and then convince her and her consorts that the terrace was haunted and beyond dangerous.

She ran screaming from the roof top, causing a mini riot, much to the owners dismay. The final roll was teamwork between the slide and the leech. The slide led the roll as he was doing the front facing and the leech was involved because he concocted the toxin.

The slide failed the 3D roll with a 1,2,3. The leech had to roll consort with a disadvantage and rolled double 6s!!! Saving the day. It was edge of the seat stuff. Had a great time.

Toying with what a subterranean Iruvian market street, in Nightmarket might look like… cross-section.

There are 4 ‘phases’; The Score, Free Play, Downtime and Engagement Roll.

How do you organise yours? I know the stages are not meant to be rigid, however if after coming back from a Score with little to no stress and some harm, then going straight out to Free Play (and researching the next score) may well be dangerous. I understand that this is supposed to be free flowing but do any of you have ideas on how to help the players choose the best way to deal with this dynamic?

I guess managing your resources as a player is an important factor, but the narrative must trump that right?

Many thanks.

Question: Can anyone write hacks/supplements/maps for Blades in the Dark and publish them on DriveThruRPG using an OGL? Or should we be seeking permission from ‘Evil Hat Games’ before we do? Many thanks.
