I’m looking at running Band of Blades this week. We’re very familiar with Blades and I’ve had a quick read-through of the 2 books. I think it’s gonna take a session or 2 to get to grips with this one regardless.

I know there’s rumour of an update coming soon so I’m wondering if it’s worth printing it all out now and starting a new game, or should I wait a bit?

Does anyone remember the Midnight RPG from Fantasy Flight Games? It was early in the D&D 3e days, a very cool spin on traditional fantasy. I think it would make a good hack for BitD, hoping someone else has already thought of it…! 🙂

Has anyone played Band of Blades yet?

Has anyone played Band of Blades yet? I’m reading through the book and feeling as overwhelmed as I did the first time I read Blades in the Dark…!

I think I need to watch the actual play series and see a game in action before trying to run a game… Or just jump in and see what happens! 🙂

I’m planning to run a few sessions of Vigilantes in-between our normal Blades games.

I’m planning to run a few sessions of Vigilantes in-between our normal Blades games. I’m hoping to have their actions possibly cross over and hinder/help each crew. Could be cool.

Anyone played Vigilantes and can offer some pointers? Or point me to a cool live play or session reports?

So I’m busy catching up on the Bloodletters Roll20 game (Episode 14 part 3 at the moment) and have also been perusing “Vigilantes” from Sean Nittner … and I think I just saw a huge spoiler in the “starting situation” section of Vigilantes! If so, man I can’t wait to hear how that goes down…

So I’ve been thinking about my crew’s upcoming conflict with the Grinders. The Grinders are ranked Tier II and checking the magnitude on pg. 221 I see 2 on the table shows gangs of 12 people. Does that mean the Grinders are only 12 people? or the gangs they send out are 12 people?

I’m definitely making them bigger than 12 people, I’m just wondering how the mechanics are meant to work with rules as written.

Is there a changelog somewhere that lists the changes between v8 and v8.1?

I’ve already printed out v8 and am debating whether it’s easier to just make corrections the hefty tome I’ve already printed, or just reprint the whole thing?

Anyone come up with any cool ideas for these mutations yet? My players are soon gonna be in serious conflict with the Grinders and I’ve just noticed their quirk now.

Is there a way to increase the scope of your crew’s hunting grounds?

Is there a way to increase the scope of your crew’s hunting grounds? Is this part of claiming turf? The free downtime action to acquire an asset or whatever is pretty handy but limited to a small area.
