The way the Hull playbook is written, the spirit is bound in servitude to the creator or more likely finanser of the machine. However if someone built a Hull for the benefit of the Ghost that will inhabit it, how would that be handled?

After writing this it occurs to me that the answer is “On a case by case basis”, but I’m still curious what everyone’s thoughts on this is.

Would you allow a soulbane charm to exist in your Doskvol?

Would you allow a soulbane charm to exist in your Doskvol?

Would you allow a soulbane charm to exist in your Doskvol? By which I mean a charm that humans prefer to avoid. Mirroring how Ghost PCs are affected by spiritbane charms, you would have to take 2 stress to overcome the repulsion. If both spirits and demons, two very different sorts of being can be held away by a similar device then the spectrologically closer ghosts and people could also be held to the same effect. The market for soulbane charms is limited to demons who aren’t scary enought to just use their faces, those who with desire for very elaborate security systems and lunatics, but when did that every get in the way of science?

A thought occurred to me after I found out about the existence of Treacher-Collins syndrome.

A thought occurred to me after I found out about the existence of Treacher-Collins syndrome. To put it shortly, it’s a birth defect that makes a person’s face look unusual and can cause problems with hearing, breathing and seeing due to that.

People born with similar birth defects would most likely be assumed to be some sort of devil by the population at large and maybe the academia and the occult with right tools would be able to tell that it’s not the case.

Which leads to the concept of a character who says their a Tycherosi because that’s easier to explain then that they were born with an odd face that isn’t mystically caused.

1. Start a Cult dedicated to a radiant god.

2. Make sure that God can Incarnate on the physical realm.

3. Get them to hang around the same area for a while, somehow.

4. Set up a garden there.

5.???

6.Profit.

With this foolproof plan we can set up a radiant energy garden without having to do any confusing alchemy. What’s the worst that could happen?

So you can make your own drugs, right?

So you can make your own drugs, right?

So you can make your own drugs, right? And you can have the stuper, pleasure, weirdness or what have you of drugs as your vice, right? So can you decide that you ain’t having any of that gunk on the streets and make your own supply, right?

Does that mean you don’t have a vice purveyor? Does the person from whom you buy the reagents, fertilizers and other production necessary things become your purveyor? Can your lab or even yourself be considered your purveyor?

Can you take Veteran as your first Special Ability?

Can you take Veteran as your first Special Ability?

Can you take Veteran as your first Special Ability? I ask because I think that having a Cutter with the Physicker ability would allow for a fun character concept and it would be odd to not be able to play a surgeon but not be able to do legitimate surgery for first couple sessions.
