I really like the GM: Best Practices. I think something like this for players could be useful.

Player: Best Practices

Some points could be copied across unchanged (Be a curious explorer of the game in play, Help the players use the game system). Others might need a little or lot of reworking (Convey your character, Engage in an interesting conversation). Then some probably don’t work for players at all, and some new ones may need to be added.

So, now that the Quick Start is out, is anyone going to be running any open games on Roll20 or Hangouts?

Gotta keep snowballing, ya know?

Hm.

Hm… aren’t those runes on the map in the Quickstart similar to (or maybe even from) the game-that-never-quite-happened Stranger Things? I have a couple of (well-worn) T-shirts from that still … ( http://4673.spreadshirt.com/ ). I almost forgot about that game, I was pretty interested in it at the time.

Is there any heritage from Stranger Things which carries over into Blades in the Dark, either game system or setting (or both)?

Just scanned the Quick-Start rules; does this confirm my suspicions that Ghost/Echo is a prequel?

Blades is begging for GM-less play!

Would love to see that as an unlock option.

There can be a general Main Coordinator (MC) and a rotating GM-role as a counterpart to the “On Point” role.

The distributed authority in the Blades rules should work very well GM-less!

Null Vector sounds awesome! Any chance to get also a Firefly/Han Solo/Guardians o.t. Galaxy type setting?

Crews could be replaced by Spaceships and it should work perfectly well with the Blades system.

I think it’s a fun game in its own right, but writing that game while running Ghost Lines lead directly to the development of Blades. You can still some some fragments of DNA from Bootleggers in Blades.
