I have noticed the Mire seems to be missing in Dunslough. The book describes the Mire (page 270 Landmark 4) as a massive mud-quarry pit, the site of the impact of an ancient celestial body, wedged between Dunslough labour camp and ghetto. But on Ryan’s map, that block looks the same as the rest of Dunslough’s surroundings, basically eeleries and other farms.

Stumbled upon a neat deviant art collection of characters that seem nicely fitting for blades :)

And part 2 of the Rail Jack Historia. The one on the left is what I imagine most jacks stump through the job on. The one on the right seems like it might belong to the more badass crews on the newer lines. Me, I like the look of the old suits, fighting ghosts seems like trench warfare, or fighting fires.

Inspired by the U’Duasha special edition, I’ve been working on a Hadrathi conlang. I started with the words given by John et al, and have been analysing it to see if there are any similarities. I’ve then started just expanding on it, and giving meaning to various roots.

Lots of this is still placeholder, though. Many words have no gloss, or meaning, and the IPA is still in progress. There also isn’t a strict grammar yet, but I’m getting there!

This isn’t really the proper way to conlang, but it’s fun, and I’m enjoying it. If you get inspiration to give meaning to anything, let me know and I’ll see if it fits!

UPDATE:

I have uploaded everything to Google Docs for ease of sharing and keeping it in the same place. Everything will be open for folks to view and comment as they desire!

They even have an album called “Ghosts & Ghoulish scenes” but other cool stuff, too, like lots of maps. So, not only the Whisper will find here something useful.

Finally finished up my little run of “Tales of the Rail Jacks,” quite fun to see how those earlier rules led to the Blades set we all have now. To finish up we ran a sort of end credits bit, with players talking about the history of the Rail Jacks, from the early poor brave fools to the modern crew with all of their fancy Leviathan Oil powered tech. Set the whole thing to “The Lyre of Orpheus” by Nick Cave. Thank you again for turning quite a few gamers into storytellers John.

I drew up a few sketches for that credits sequence. Esoteric stuff to talk of the history of imaginary train-riding ghostbusters, but it’s a fun challenge to try and make working stiffs in environment suits into sympathetic characters. Hope this isn’t too far out of this Group’s remit.

Here’s part one, the early Jacks.

Decided how to pad out my Clock-addon, did another series of clocks that work better on a light background and draws a nice contrast in style. Included in the pack as well is a map to serve as a backdrop and useful “vote screen” for the type of Score you’d play.
