Hey – I have an informal poll for you.

Hey – I have an informal poll for you.

Hey – I have an informal poll for you. I’m playing around with a short “modern thieves” hack. One of the crew types is a “Fast and Furious” style. What should I call it? 1. White Knuckle Tight 2. Throttle Hoppers (both are street racing slang) I’d love to have you vote for 1 and suggest alternatives! Feel free to tell me if you hate both.

Note: The other crew types: Angels (vigilantes, think A-Team or Leverage), Collectors (high-end thieves), Disposable Heroes (mercenaries, problem solvers, gov’t contractors), Syndicate (criminal – not thrilled with this name), Vagabonds (traveling circus performers, musicians, etc. who steal).

  1. Tire Burners ?

I’d go with simply Disposables rather than add heroes, I feel like it blurs the difference between them and the Angels

Since you make a difference between Collectors and Vagabonds (high end vs low end), you could also distinguish Family and Hood for criminals. This high end vs low end could be an overall theme, in fact : Angels could be the low-end DIY A-Team of the high-end, all-expenses-covered of the Disposables. High-End crews would need coin to merely afford their lifestyle, while Low-End would scrap by and depend more on Rep.

  2. Thomas Burlett for the win! I’m not sold on tire burners, but the low vs high class is awesome. I had Metallica playing when I settled on Disposable Heroes. I’ll either need two street racing groups or find a way to build high vs low into one crew playbook.

  3. Eric Brunsell Glad to be of help !

Rather than two street racing groups, you could have Couriers (low-end, just people who’re damn fast on bikes or in a van, known to be reliable at delivering stuff) vs Street Racers (high-end, rich folks who can afford the latest tech, do it for thrills or out of boredom)

That way you can have another difference between low and high end : low end have more purpose than just being outlaws. Angels do it to help, Couriers, Vagabonds and Hood do it because they’ll drown if they don’t try ; on the other end, Syndicates and Disposables have probably never known anything else, and Street Racers are bored out of their mind. At least, that could work for outside factions
