Sean Nittner – if Alliance has left-over books in this initial shipping, would it be possible to purchase extras?

Sean Nittner – if Alliance has left-over books in this initial shipping, would it be possible to purchase extras? I ask because a couple of my player’s said they were going to purchase books, but ended up not due to finances at the time – and I would happily purchase books for them if they are available.

How could you not use this in your blades game?!

Question for those of you creating your own content: How are you making your play / crew books?

Question for those of you creating your own content: How are you making your play / crew books? Is there an InDesign template that is available? Or, something else? Thanks in advance!

So, I was sharing in the Blades of the Emperor thread regarding my last two sessions of BitD and how my players were just killing me. They chose assassins for their crew and honestly bungled their first two jobs just to not listening.

Partly they want me to produce targets constantly but then veto one after the other because it may cause complications with other factions. I mean, they are wanting to play so nice that it’s practically making the crew, and story, impotent. It also feels like they expect more drive from my end. I figure if I have say Lampblacks cornering them in street because they’ve made themselves appear weak as a faction that I’m betraying the BitD GM/player trust.

It’s keeping their in game stress low but it’s surely raising my real life stress.

I can see stories like this making it into papers in Doskvol, except that many of the outlandish supernatural ones…

I see many, many grim adventure hooks here, from a real life newspaper from the late 1800’s up to 1939.

I think of Callum as becoming like Frank Sobotka from S2 of The Wire. Maybe a little larcenous, mostly loyal and valiant. Nonetheless getting increasingly dirty as he tries to make a place for his distrusted ethnic enclave amongst the shipyards and docks of an unbelievably corrupt city. Some Vigilantes might hang him from a lightpost as a warning, but maybe he’s as good as it gets in Doskvol.

EMPEROR PROTECT!!!

We did it! Here is the finished document with the rules modifications, crew sheet, and playbooks. Anything that is not included here works exactly as in standard Blades in the Dark. Except retirement. Duty is eternal, so you either die an Acolyte, or become the Enemy. Have fun!

You can adapt this to both Askellon and Calixis (or to a Sector of your own design). Hopefully someone will make good use of this! Annnd I’m also done spamming about it 😛

If you guys have question, ask them down here 😀

Also, if I ever add or change something, I will probably put updates in the comments section of this post.

Now go out there and purge some heretics!
