The 5. Strike-Team of the 13th. Sanguine Enforcement Department of the Diocese of North Americana busted the White Queen and her criminal ring of organ dealers and casinos in Vegas. The Teams Enforcer Vexer (Cutter) got a load of a shutgun in his guts and barely survived the last Chapter against the Widow of Witherfields, but came back by the infusion of lycantropic mutagen. With sideeffects but who cares? The Drifters Echo and Noise (Cyber-Whisper) overload the Servers of the Black Chifre Templars and stole their intel on the White Queen’s Lair. The Doll Ariadne (Out of Body Perception Whisper and Telepath) took over the lairs’s Security cams and repeated the feedback, so that Vexer and Noise could infiltrate the Casino Blanche. Deep in the guts of the underneath complex, a midnight demon ravaged throught the Queen’s Fathilities but was eliminated by the team who could free the Shade Lucille de La Croix  (Lurker/Whisper) before she was dissected by the White Knights. Ariadne detected a transdimensional Leak caused by the artifacts, which the Queen harvested from the Tomb of Solomon. More creatures from the Midnight Empire arrived and all order collapsed. Lucille sacrified herself and destroyed the gate. 

After the escape of the White Queen, the shadows opened up and revealed Lucilles survival, but changed for ever marked by the Eye of the Void. Vexer fullfilled his personal project and transmuted into a full Lycantrop while rescuing Ariadne who got surrounded by White Knights Automaton. 

After the Debrief, they spend more time to build up a magic ward in their base of operation and Lucille started a new project (and Compendium Class as Voidblood) to master the Dark Forces in her Bloodstream. Ariadne took the time to train her gunskills, while Echo and Noise got further into the assimilation of the Quantum-Ghost-Engine, which they found in Chapter 1.

Will there be close curtains while devellopement of the final books and other stretched goals progressing or will there be any new material for the crowd here to try? After many sessions with my own games, I started to think about new settings or more detailing material from the QS and so on. As many may do here. 

So basicly I am just curious to know what comes next.

I was rather surprised, how fast they excepted stress/trauma systems and liked it a lot to trade in with wounds.

They fastly adapted the dice pool and resistance system (I use 7-Roll or just said 1,2 or 3 stress for minor injuries)

I skipped Controll/Risk/Desperate distinctions entirely to not confuse them. And decided the outcomes of fails on my decision.

No Duskwell but a random City named Hollowshire. No complex relation / faction tracks, just some noble and patrician houses.

I think for a quickstart play in 3-4hrs its taking to long with full rules. So i see my edit as a lot faster.

They liked that the characters are “prepacked” with a full Equipment pile. But wonder about longterm micromanagement. And they liked how the bestfriend and rival on the sheets are giving plenty of Plot and relation points.

Its getting more and more easier for me to improvise on the fly.

We had a full teamup of all 5 playbooks in the round. They decided to choose the Physician Marwyn (a mad scientice) as their patron and had their lair hidden under his workshop, as they choosed Workshop and Carriage House as Lair options as well as Everyone Steals as ability.

I always start by appointing a Leader and a treasurer of the Thiefs. Slide became “the face” of the group and its missionbroker and treasurer while the Cutter became leader.

I asked how they would like to earn some cash. DW style: What do you do?

Slide did got to Nyxx the prostitute who ran a crew of prodtitutes and streetworkers as well as a human trafficking buisness. She asked to be protected on a party, Rumbsey one of the criminal noble houses.

Cutter and Whisper both got lost trying to get their Vices, Gambling and Drugs to meet new people and failed a lot with their rolls and got lost in the slums. The Lurk tried to talk to his beggar friend, but was swarmed by the spirit warden, who created a Quarantain Zone. Strange spiderlike undeads wreck Havock in the quarters Till the other lost Whisper and Cutter arrived all at that scene and Quickly finished up 6 Click monsters with no more than 2-3 strikes per creature.

Meanwhile the hound found the Headhunters Guild and tried to spy on his rival, but failed and got some stress by a provocation on form of a broken Glas in his head.

The whisper was tackled by an undead and now seeking the cutters medical contact. Who was hired for 1 Coin and Healed with ghostpowers.

Additionaly the slide got asked by their partner to get illegal Machine parts out of an old dock-building.

Fonts needed Minion Pro Regular and Birch Std Regular, which should be on each computer, I realised my title font is from my commercial Collection, so I will Change the Class Name into a Free Font to be editable.

Just had the idea that it would be fun to be able to choose a combat-style for each character. So while charactercreation choose 1Style and one Special ability, or non style (supporting/noncombat character) and 1 ability + 1 extra Action dot. Aply 3 action dots freely.

Tank: heavy (armor) + Close (combat)

Ballist: heavy + range

Sworddance: quick + close

Rogue: quick + stealth

Gunslinger: quick + range

Musketeer: close + range

Hunter: stealth + range

Assasine: stealth + close
