I saw a post a while back about things that had become cannon in another person’s version of Doskvol, so I thought I’d share what the players from my 2 crews have introduced to my Doskvol.

1. Skovlanders are matriarchal. They are lead by women who are typically clever and cunning, whilst frail and dainty. The males are typically brutish and dimwhitted, following female orders.

2. Accents: Skovlanders are either Russian or Scottish sounding, Akorosians are English sounding. The other accents haven’t been established as cannon yet.

3. Tycherosi are the bottom barrel and everyone is racist to them except Iruvians. Iruvians are typically peaceful and accepting people. Skovlanders are looked down upon by Akorosians.

4. Electroplasm is cold. Very cold. Cold enough to burn you.

5. Ghosts can posses not only bodies, but body parts (they had Rorics ghost possess a severed hand, which was kind of cool).

6. The hive enslave their work force using Ghost Contracts (or so it seems).

What cool things have your players brought to the table?

In the inventing rules it states that you use Study to invent a new item. I was wondering if it would be possible to do a group invention roll/project where 2 characters would spitball ideas with eachother, filling the clock together, and both knowing the formula upon finishing it. If so, would they roll Study as a group action (symbolising each of them doing their own research) or would you be allowed to roll consort to fill the clock (to symbolise the spitballing of ideas and collaboration of the 2 inventors)?

John Harper Sean Nittner Just been listening to the AMA stream and first of all wanted to say thank you as it’s great to see such a community built around this game and the devs listening and answering questions. Second, my crew just picked up Ghost Echoes and I wanted some advice (seeing as it’s John’s favourite). How do the players interact with these ghost echoes? What are they useful for from your own experiences? As a GM how can I use the Ghost Echoes ability to not only better the gaming experience, but introduce new obstacles for my crew? Do the PCs always have to interact with the echoes or can it be switched off? Sorry from the bombardment of questions, its just foreign territory to me and I can’t quite grasp how Ghost Echoes works in play (mechanically and fictionally)

Question about the Entanglement “Interrogation”:

If a crew has a wanted level and gets Interrogation, what happens to the person being interrogated? Do they get arrested after they grill him? It seems odd that theyd let a wanted criminal go. Is Interrogation appropriate for a crew with a wanted level?

John Harper in a Controlled action when you roll a 1-3 it says you can seize a risky oppertunity. What kind of risky opertunities could come up, and does this make it a risky position? If so, then wouldnt rolling a 4/5 be much worse than a 1-3 because if you press on with a 5 you take a consequence where if you press on with a 1 you get a risky oppertunity. Im just confused is all 😛

To what extent should a person be using Forsight to give a bonus die? I feel like they should have a propper flashback to a prepararion they made, but often times my PCs just say something like “I gave him a pep talk earlier” or “I showed him some of my moves” or something similarly vague and uninteresting. Should they do a more detailed flashback with a real preparation? I feel this is the case but I want some feedback from other GM experience

What is a “Spark-Craft” item? I was under the impression that it was an item that involved electroplasmic components, but then Bombs such as grenades are considered spark-craft.

Also on the subject of bombs, what do you roll to throw a bomb? How many people do they affect? How long does it take to explode between a long and short fuse?

I understand Wreck to blow up something, but what if you thrkw it at a person/group of enemies?

action, but the ghost will lash out, too.”

Lashes out at who? The enemy you’re being violent to? To the person rolling?

So if everyone can make gadgets and stuff, what is the purpose of the Leech’s “Gadget” item on his playbook? Does it just mean he can carry more Gadgets? Wouldnt it be the same load?
