So if everyone can make gadgets and stuff, what is the purpose of the Leech’s “Gadget” item on his playbook?

So if everyone can make gadgets and stuff, what is the purpose of the Leech’s “Gadget” item on his playbook? Does it just mean he can carry more Gadgets? Wouldnt it be the same load?

  1. I think it’s just on the sheet for thematics and ease of tracking, because the Leech is more likely to carry gadgets than other characters. I mean, anybody could make the Cutter’s Fine Hand Weapon, too.

  2. I’m with James Etheridge here. Leeches are natural crafters, it seems kinda assumed that they’ll make gadgets at some point, whereas the other playbooks may or may not. But anyone CAN get items that aren’t part of their normal list — via crafting, temporarily via acquiring an asset, more permanently via a long-term project, etc.

  3. John Harper is this correct? It seems rather pointless for it to be on the Leech’s sheet if thats the case. If they could carry 3 for one load or something itd make more sense, but if anyone can carry gadgets, then whats the point?

Is it that players can only carry one gadget (in their empty spot on the character sheet)? And Leeches can carry 4 (1+Gadgets)?
