Hey scoundrels, I’ve picked up my old playbook I was working on and I’ve made some tweaks. Here’s the Scavengers playbook v0.2.

The main drive of this crew type is around growing a big gang, and being tough. There’s spooky stuff in there too. I have two pieces of the puzzle that are still up in the air; Ironpaths and Seadogs, which were supposed to represent railway and ship based additions to the scavengers Tribe.

Any questions, comments or critiques are very much appreciated.

Hey peeps.

Hey peeps.

Hey peeps. Has anyone got thoughts about playing Blades as a convention game? Myself and a couple of friends will be running intro games So far I’m thinking about having some big clocks made up representing the Crows and the Lampblacks and running the games as a battle for Crowsfoot. The different tables will either (I haven’t decided yet) either all be working for the Crows, or have each table be a different faction battling for Doskvol’s streets.

What modifications to the base system do you think would work for casual drop-in style gaming, and for intros to the system and setting?

Hey crew, I made a bot that throws together random heist ideas and posts them to twitter.

This is the first draft of the new crew playbook I’ve been working on.

So some of you might have seen me trying to get my hands on a hard copy of Blades: well I failed, and decided to bind my own copy. It’s fabric and leather, using a textblock that was printed at A5 size. I hope y’all like it.

Hey, anyone able to find dead tree copies of Blades in the Dark in Australia for a good price?

Hey, anyone able to find dead tree copies of Blades in the Dark in Australia for a good price? The postage from America is dreadful. The only place I’ve found it so far still only has it on pre-order.

Hey everyone!

Hey everyone!

Hey everyone! I’m writing a couple of playbooks for new crew types and was wondering if anyone has done similar books. The first is a gang that specialises in scavaging from the Deathlands and the other is a gang that is designed for more social based heists (a noble house looking to claw its way up through the ranks).

Has anyone attempted to hack these before?

Also, are there any templates for Blades sheets, or resources for fonts and such?

Cheers!

Does anyone know if there’s an estimated timeline for the stretch goal hacks for BitD?

I was looking though some Blades stuff and I was reminded of a book I read a while ago.

I was looking though some Blades stuff and I was reminded of a book I read a while ago. I realised that a Blades in the Dark would be an amazing system to explore the setting of Bas-Lag, the world created by China Meiville in his books Perdido Street Station, The Scar and so on. Has anyone read the books? What are your thoughts on a Blades game set in that world? John Harper are you familiar with them?
