Like most things, deliberately vague.

I assume the big ships on the map are Leviathan Hunters, and in my imagination they are more or less 500 meters long.
But John Harper never gave any official numbers. And, as much as I would like a scale on the map, that’s probably really wise.
For example, in his Last Word campaign, John described North Hook Channel as really big and basically like open sea. But as soon as you give a specific distance, chances are that one player thinks the channel would be too small, and another player thinks that Bowmore Bridge would be ridiculously long.
And also, it’s reasonable to assume that distances feel very different anyway to characters who live in a dark and overcrowded city.
