I’ve encountered some confusion on this subject recently, so i figured i’d just ask the community here if the following is correct:

– Accepting help from a teammate gives you +1d

– Pushing yourself gives you +1d OR increased effect

– Accepting a devil’s bargain gives you +1d

– Taking advantage of a set up action gives you improved position OR improved effect

– The only other way to improve the effect of a roll is to accept a worse position

Are any of the above statements incorrect?

How do you guys handle Leeches and alchemical creations? A lot of items in their bandolier options include tier 3 and 4 sunstances. Do you make the Leech roll for items in a flashback or do you just assume they’ve made the item already when they declare a bandolier?

The former doesn’t seem very fair to the player (or very fun) but the latter means they can paralyze people with a tier 4 substance just by using 3 load.

The rulebook says “Visit your vice purveyor to relieve stress. Roll dice equal to your lowest attribute. Clear stress equal to your highest die result.”

But what if the lowest rating is a 0? IS that still 2d6, take lowest?

Obligation (Vice)

Obligation (Vice)

I have a player who would like some sort of family obligation as a Vice, specifically related to his military sea captain father or an as-yet-undefined younger sister (all Severosi). However i’ve been unable to connect this to the self-destructive but relaxing nature of vices; i’ve been having this trouble with Obligations in general.

How do you guys deal with this vice in your games?
