Hello everyone!

Hello everyone!

Hello everyone!

Well, I was doing a hack of blades on Vikings in a low magic midgard.

I finally moved forward and decided to do it in my native language, Spanish. When I have advanced more I will translate it.

If someone is interested in seeing the progress in that language, you can ask me and I will send you the link.

This publication is also to tell you that I changed many things and the hack is becoming something else. The idea is the following.

The game is centered on Midgard and the neighboring realms, Vanaheim, Jotünheim, Alfheim, and Svartalfaheim. (There are other kingdoms, but their access is more difficult or they are further away).

The idea (very brief) is that men have managed to adapt an Alfheim mineral, much appreciated by the Ljófalsar (light elves) to create an engine capable of propelling drakkars through the sky (airship style.) Imagine the Drakkar and the balloon, made with dragon skin) the men are at war with the Ljofalsar, there is a slow industrial revolution and the game is based on the players, their drakkar and manage a settlement that produces riches in one of the neighboring kingdoms. the cohorts will be a “Fleet” (get smaller drakkars with a crew)

I have a most detailed idea and I am doing the introduction of the manual. ( I already have playbook sheets and crew sheets for playtesting) A designer friend will do the layout and art, so it’s getting serious. I would like to hear opinions of the idea.

Greetings to all and thanks for all the good attention and response always.

Pd: sory for mi english, a Lot comes from the google traductor. (I read it just well, but i’m pretty bad for writing)

Hi everyone! i have an update of my hack about Vikings.

Hi everyone! i have an update of my hack about Vikings.

I take the opportunity to comment a little on the new action rating system.

Insight

SCOUT a location or situation to gather information; sense trouble before it happens; move unseen; detect weakness or exploits it there any.

READ the runes or a person, investigate a story, legend, a place or the ingredients for a recipe.

HAMMER a weapon or armor to repair it. Build fortifications or repair siege weapons. Know how to make and destroy too.

Prowess

BATTLE With an opponent in close combat; assault or hold a position; brawl and wrestle.

FEAST with friends and enemies, tell stories about war, adventures and others. Drinking and eating a lot.

SHOOT A target from a distance, find a perc with clear lines of fire, make trick shots, attack with throwing weapons.

MANEUVER Into a position and traverse obstacles, climb, swim, run, jump, and tumble; handle a pack animal or ride a mount.

Resolve (they work all in the same way that blades)

Attune

Command

Consort

Sway

There’s an extra action rating in Insight that is different for every playbook and work in a different way, is an idea that i take from Band of Blades, like the names of some action ratings too.

Sory for my english, i write this fast and is not my native language. I hope you like and i want critics too!

I don’t know why the original font is lost in google + if this is a PDF, but for some reason it changes and doesn’t look good.

Hello everyone!

Hello everyone!

Hello everyone! Well, I think I’ve made a lot of progress these last few days with my hack about Vikings in the magic land of Midgard (and the other realms too)

I’m preparing everything for my first game, (so I can do a good play test and start to give more shape to all the rules that I have little detailed and that will be emerging)

I have 2 Clan Sheets

5 playbooks

I organized a sheet to put NPCS and enemies, and also another one that describes a little the objects, weapons, armors and the runes and symbols that can be used (I still have to detail rules about runes and symbols)

I leave you some pictures of how everything is going for the play testing, I hope critics and soon I will be uploading some word or pdf with the rules described and detailed.

It is probably that you will find mistakes because my native language is not English, but if everything goes well I have a translator friend and he will take care of that with time, haha.

Thanks for everything!

Hello everyone! First forgiveness for my English, it’s not my native language.

Some time ago I started working on a Vinkings Hack in a “low magic” (for the pcs) midgard.

These last days I advanced something more and began to detail some ideas I had in mind. Many of the data that you see in the sheets that I come to share still do not have specific rules already written, but vague ideas that I have to shape with playtesting and detailing new rules a little more.

The idea is that players share a clan. I have only 2 Playbooks ready for the moment and another 3 for detailing. 1 type of clan ready and 2 others to be detailed with some ideas for another one.

Some of the names of skills and others I have to change to adapt more to a world of “Vikings”

I wanted to hear opinions. To give you an idea, I took some rules borrowed from Band of Blades, as the “special action rating” for each playbook.

Thank you for the goodwill you always put to this group!

PD: i organize the playbooks and clan sheets in two pages for each one. This is because i made it on excel. The idea is to put everything in a single page.

PD 2: Google Drive does not have the font that i use for the sheets, so i’ll later share a picture of how they look. They’re in format a4 ready to print.

What do you think of a Blades Hack about Vikings in a low magic midgard?

I was working on a project in the last weeks. I already have some playbooks and some “Clan Sheets”.

More than anything I took skills from several playbooks of several hacks and normal blades and I was giving shape to mine, because I was busy and I could not dedicate the time I wanted. The idea is to personalize it with time and playtesting.

Also i meaby change “Stress” for “Courage” or somethng like that.

I wanted to know what they thought of the idea? Do you see the blades system viable for a game like this?

Sory for the english, it is not my native language.

Watching the Bloodletters stories and drinking some of my beer and i’m starting to imagine a “Dusk Ale” i picture…

Watching the Bloodletters stories and drinking some of my beer and i’m starting to imagine a “Dusk Ale” i picture something like a medium/high class drink. Dark, with Skovlan barley, bittered with some kind of mushroom that has some spicey and smokey notes.

Meaby there’s a stronger version for the nobilty.. meaby aged in leviathan blood barrels..

I will make a real version, to drink when we play in a real table.

What a great world to play rol!

First of all, sory for my english.

We’re preparing all the stuff for playing A Fistful Of Darkness, the Weird West hack by Stefan Struck

i’m reading the system and i notice that the Hellstone Claim and Hellstone Vault system works for using “Leviathan Blood” instead, and play a Noble Family as a crew in Blades in The Dark. I just think is a good idea.

Hellstone Claims = Leviathan Ships

Hellstone Vault = Leviathan blood Vault or something like that.

What do you think?
