Here the cover for my first One – Shot ever of Blades in the Dark. As I intended to make it easier ( 😛 ) I didn’t use the base setting, bringing the ruleset to the WWII The result is clearly in the style of – Inglourious Basterds –

The result was amazing, and the game didn’t need any adaptation of the Score Phase or of the Playbook.

Did anyone try this before?

  1. Looks neat. Did the one-shot not use any factions, or did you revise some/all for the WWII setting? What did you end up doing with the ghosty/supernatural bits in the playbooks?

  2. Adam Minnie thank you!

It was my first game ever with blades, so I just wanted to keep it simple.

    – I gave them a crew belonging to the Frech Resistance, to support them in all the non-operative actions

    – I did not define any faction, I didn’t use HEAT and Downtimes. It was just a SCORE. But It was funny… maybe in the future, I will work for another game with more complexity

    – I excluded the Whisperer and the Leech playbook. I suggest the use of Attune as a sixth-sense and “unconscious reading of the situation” for the gather information purpose. It was enough for a 2h score.
