Because of an entanglement roll, my players are about to have to make a difficult choice. So tell me: what do you think war with the Sparkwrights looks like?

  1. Massacre. My group also pissed them off and was forced to perform 3-4 jobs for the sparkwrights to lessen their ire.

The sparkwrights showed up and basically said, “You work for us now.”

  2. A lot of hulls (both the fighting-automaton kind as well as vehicles, spider-bots, drones – all sorts). Experimental tesla-style weapons and inventions (lightning guns!). They have factories, so on a more mundane level I can imagine them using bluecollar workers as muscle in a confrontation. Before it gets to violence, I can imagine them using their mastery of infrastructure to make moves against their enemies; street lights go out and just the right moment for an ambush, the lightning barrier fails at just the right time to mob the group with death land spirits, or a public generator “accidentally” explodes as they pass it.

  3. Sounds like the PCs need to cozy up to the Foundation.

The enemy of my enemy, yadda, yadda, yadda…

Perhaps some key research from the Sparkwright Tower in Charterhall or their compound in Coalridge goes missing and is used as leverage?
