Wolves in the Dark

Just finished a first draft for an adaptation of the fantastic Werewolf: the Forsaken by Onyx Path into the Blades in the Dark system.

If you’re interested in a new take on the Blades formula, playing as a pack of spirit-hunting werewolves in the Chronicles of Darkness setting, please take a look at Wolves in the Dark and let me know what you think.

For more information on Werewolf: the Forsaken, take a look at the official website:

  1. This is awesome. I am also working on a similar hack. We had a lot of the same ideas, but also some different ones. I am a bit behind you. Still working out some of the systems. I want to have it established in the Hunting Ground: The Rockies setting before I put it out for consumption, so that adds a whole other chunk of work. That being said, I happy to share with you in case you might want some of it. In particular, I have created faction descriptions for all the Forsaken packs from the Rockies book. I also went through and translated a lot of fetishes into asupice and tribal items. Its all in a scrivener file right now, that I am happy to share if you have the program. I could also export it, but it would be quite disjointed in that format until have a lot more done.

  2. Richard McNutt Yeah, sounds great. I thought about doing a built-in setting too, but decided to nail down mechanics first. Share what you’ve got. I want to see how we did things differently. I don’t have scrivener, but I’m sure I can get access to it easy.

  3. Oh, as another thought, I considered some of the Forsaken Dark Eras instead of Hunting Ground: The Rockies. Once I finish this one, it might be fun to collaborate on making another setting. Whatever setting should be equally applicable to either version of the rule set.

  4. Wow, this is neat!

And as one of the writers on Forsaken by Rome from Dark Eras Companion, Iā€™d be more than happy to collaborate on writing up some factions, etc. for that, if anyone was interested. šŸ™‚
