Hello!

Hello!

Hello!

I like many of the mechanics of blades, but I also love the way aspects in Fate serve as a way for players to do whatever character they want.

Is there a possible way to combine the aspects from fate to the system that is blades? I love the idea of really choosing the words that define you.

Is there any guides to creating you own playbooks? Was thinking that may help too.

There may be some combination between the special abilities and aspects.

Aspects can also be a way to track beliefs, drives, background and heritage to gain xp.

Dont really know what I am doing. Found a mindmapping software that has driven me mad. 🙂

Thankfull for assists!

  1. City of Mist is a PbtA game that has each character defined by four [basically Aspects] that each have three Tags each, and then each relevant Tag counts as a +1, rather than having defined stats like Blades does.

  2. Lex Permann So could you count the tags together to form the dicepool as in blades? Or do you think I should just use the engine from City of Mist?

How is the progression in City of Mist? How do the characters improve? 🙂

  3. Check out Crimson Blossoms in this Hacks & Add-ons section.

Dude does a great job of making the game with Aspects similar to Fate. Then when the the character has ‘mastered’ those aspects, they turn into ‘Mastered Traits’ where they can only help you, not hinder you.
