  1. maj mitch is it a good point?

    If the game design goals necessitate diminishing returns in a given mechanic so as to maintain a lateral progression, gritty gameworld-feel, then it’s just a point that ignores the importance of how game design impacts worldbuilding, and the general game philosophy.

  2. Marcus M It was a good point in regards of the fact that it was something I noticed. Not that there was a problem with the mechanic. John Harper kindly answered the query.

    Austin Ramsay point didn’t ignore anything he just asked for clarification. It’s quite obvious the intention of the question was not to suspect a problem with the mechanic, and was something that had also piqued my interest. So don’t worry we wernt trying to critique the holy virtues of game design and or the holy mother of game philosophy. :p

  3. maj mitch ah, so you thought the answer might be;

    “Y’know, I just didn’t bother to think about it.”

    or

    “Whoops, I didn’t realize +1 wasn’t the same thing as +2.”

    Those are good points.

  4. Marcus M point is I did think about it. That’s why I asked. Enough toxicity….I just wanted to congratulate John Harper on a fantastic rpg, its uses some really unique mechanics and we have been enjoying it fully. Some of the mechanics take a little bit of adjusting to but they have created some really intense and exciting sessions. Cheers fella.
