Question regarding Harm:

On Page 13 it states that “when a PC marks their last stress box, they suffer a level of trauma. When you take trauma, circle one of your trauma conditions like Cold, Reckless, Unstable, etc.” and that this condition is permanent. But that is not mentioned in the description of harm on page 31 or in recovery from harm on page 155. Does a player suffer a permanent trauma condition from just a level one trauma, even after they recover?

I don’t think I ever saw this done on the Blades sessions run by Harper on youtube.

Thanks.

A question of size…

So I’ve been thinking about my crew’s upcoming conflict with the Grinders. The Grinders are ranked Tier II and checking the magnitude on pg. 221 I see 2 on the table shows gangs of 12 people. Does that mean the Grinders are only 12 people? or the gangs they send out are 12 people?

I’m definitely making them bigger than 12 people, I’m just wondering how the mechanics are meant to work with rules as written.

QUESTION  ABOUT  VAMPIRE

QUESTION  ABOUT  VAMPIRE

HI all! , I have several question about vampire.

STRICTURES:

SLUMBER : In downtime, you must spend one activity resting in a dark, silent place (or else suffer 3 stress).

the stress is taken when I declare my downtime action?  Or when the downtime is  ended?  In the first case I can soak the stress , in the second each time I start with 3 stress more (if I not take the rest)

BOUND : Your spirit must remain in this body, or be destroyed.

So if I die without this flaw my character turn in to ghost playbook ? And can make again the process to become again a vampire?

BESTIAL: When you suffer physical harm or overindulge your vice, your body twists into a horrific bestial form until you next feed without overindulging.

I read about this in another discussion but just to be sure my character turn in to were-bat or similar? Or i am still humanoid but with several feral feature like full red eyes, claws, even more long teeth etc.. anyway  I think it’s only the body so my mind stand still “human”

REPELLED : Spiritbane charms can hold you at bay. (Take 2 stress to resist the repulsion.)

Here is pretty simple , but how much is grievous the repulsion  and how much far it go a room or more? I must see the “trinket” or I just “feel it”? Or it must imposed to me like a holy crucifix?

TRAIT:

TERRIBLE POWER: Take 1 stress to perform a feat of superhuman strength or speed (run faster than a carriage, break stone with bare hands, leap onto the roof of a building, etc.). This factors into effect.

is this automatic feat? or after take stress I need to do a roll with the relative attribute? Is a push yourself too like in other playbook?

OVERINDULGE: Tapped. Your current purveyor cuts you off. Find a new source for your vice.

I can take this from the list? I don’t think there is a purveyor who sell blood ^^

ITEMS (vampire):  Fine “personal” weapon

I intend a weapon crafted for my desire like a pair of Qatar  (blade fist weapon) or similar, I’m wrong?

GENERAL: if my character die maybe at half chronicle I must restart from 0 or I can hold the XP to be pair with the other player characters ?

There is a ritual to make a hollow corpse? Because can’t find the specific

Regarding the Veteran special ability – do the three boxes mean it takes three advances to get – or that it can be taken 3 times to get three abilities from another playbook?

My troupe has recently gotten themselves to -3 status with the Bluecoats (a show of power by a 0 tier gang, firebombing a station, releasing a prisoner, setting loose a horde of forgotten ghosts bound in the blood-smeared stones). Their Wanted-level went up to two, but two of them were captured and imprisoned during the score. How would you play this out? Their Wanted-level should be zero according to the rules of incarceration, but they are at war with the Bluecoats who definitely aren’t going to let things slide with the imprisonment of half the gang for a few months. I have some ideas, but feedback would be appreciated!

Question about the Smugglers’ Barge upgrade.

Question about the Smugglers’ Barge upgrade.

Question about the Smugglers’ Barge upgrade. I’ve been running a game for a Smugglers crew for some time now, and they took Barge as one of their first upgrades because it’s a barge and why would you not? Also, ‘+mobility for lair’ sounds awesome.

At the time, ‘+mobility for lair’ was the only description we had for what Barge did. That was all well and good. With the full release, things have gotten a bit muddy. The full text states that you add mobility(which is italicized) to your lair, and then as a separate sentence, that you may move your lair as a downtime activity.

How restrictive is this? Do you have to spend a downtime action to move the barge at all? Can you move the barge during scores as part of your smuggling? Is the downtime activity only for really significant location changes?

What’s you all’s take on this? I’m inclined to still let them use the barge during their scores, as in-fiction it doesn’t make sense for it to suddenly just be stationary except during downtime. I may require them to use a downtime action before the score(to plan the route, prep the barge, etc), not sure on that yet — mostly depends on what we feel the scope of ‘mobility’ is and whether that’s separate from the downtime action to move the barge.

In the inventing rules it states that you use Study to invent a new item. I was wondering if it would be possible to do a group invention roll/project where 2 characters would spitball ideas with eachother, filling the clock together, and both knowing the formula upon finishing it. If so, would they roll Study as a group action (symbolising each of them doing their own research) or would you be allowed to roll consort to fill the clock (to symbolise the spitballing of ideas and collaboration of the 2 inventors)?

On the Shattered Isles map, there are now some cities that are plain white dots, and some which are white circles with black dots. As there is no legend added to the map to go along with these changes, what is the significance of the different markers?
