Is there any public update on when Blades of the Jhereg will be written/released? I saw that the kickstarter had some kind of backer-only update about stretch goals last month, but I didn’t hear about the kickstarter until after it was over, so I’m not a backer.

I’ve really enjoyed the base Blades and Scum & Villainy, so I’m looking forward to buying Blades of the Jhereg as well and am curious how much longer I have to wait.

When looking at the 1.7 version of Scum & Villainy (which now includes Blades SRD content to flesh out the mechanics), I was surprised to not find a reprint of the incarceration mechanics along with any tweaks needed for S&V (since S&V doesn’t use claims).

Stras Acimovic was the incarceration roll deliberately removed for S&V and if so, is there any guidance on what the consequences for arrest are in the Procyon sector?

My group is going to start playing Scum & Villainy soon (a month or two from now), and so I’ve been looking for good ways to track and share communal state like our ship sheet and any public clocks we are working on.

We play in person, but it’s nice to have some of that stuff in shared computer docs instead of only represented as paper on the table.

Has anyone yet created either google doc templates for some of this or have other recommendations on how to track and share that state?

A question about invention:

When I invent something and then craft it, does it become basically a new LOAD option while I still have instances of it? And for it’s # of load boxes, do we just decide during the invention step along with the decisions we make about quirks and downsides?

I’ve been reading the book over the past couple of days and I really like what I see. However I do have some questions about the Incarceration section:

1) Do you only make an Incarceration Roll when a PC does a stint in jail, or also when a cohort or crewmember does? (Obviously a friend or enemy taking the fall doesn’t seem like it can generate Prison Claims for the crew).

2) What is the purpose of the Smuggling Prison Claim? What does one do with gear on the inside? The rest of the section makes it seem like you gloss over the time in jail with just the Incarceration Roll, not more fine grained scenes.

3) I’m confused about the timing of incarceration. Everything else in the book works on a Score/Downtime cycle with no mention of how long that takes. So for some games that might be running a Score every week, others may have a month or longer between notable Scores. Incarceration is measured in time though, so it isn’t clear to me how that interacts with Scores/Downtime. Is the expectation that you sit out of some number of scores if you are arrested and the player just plays a different character then? If the assumption is that we gloss over the jail time, what happens to the Downtimes of that character?
