  1. The pattern makes we want to fill in the blanks. 0/no body is obviously nothing at all. 2+/no body is probably just a bunch of ghosts, but maybe it’s some sort of nightmarish ghost collective? 0/dead is, well, just dead. 2+/dead might be a possessed undead.  0/clockwork might be an automaton while 2+/clockwork might be a possessed hull or some sort of extra awful hull.

  2. 2+ Spirit No Body has me totally imagining some sort of cannibal ghost that gobbles up other ghosts. It’s body a snake like twister containing a torrent of screaming ghosts slowly being digested.

  3. 0/clockwork: automaton.

0/dead: flesh golem, or some form of animated dead that works off purely physical principles

no body/0 spirits: abstract concept, force of nature

  4. Colin Fahrion Based on your comment, I had the idea of a slaver ghost, who snares other ghosts and binds them to bones and limbs and draws on their energy to propel the golem. Always looking for more, ceaselessly hungry, and the more it enslaves the more matter it can animate.

I can see golems having a variety of relationships to whispers. Some are commanded by them, others enslave them and require them to stitch in more ghosts, others are the resentful projects of insane creators and go to war. And so on.
