Running Blades on Roll20. I’d like to paint on colored territory on the city map while still leaving it translucent so that you can properly see said map. I’m pretty noobish on doing such things though and was wondering if someone can point me in the right direction on learning how to do this?

I don’t think you can modify the opacity of drawings, but you could draw colored outlines and leave the interior transparent.
The way I did my map was by adding icons for each faction and adding an aura to them. Its pretty messy and a it does leave blank spaces that we assume to be part of a factions territory but outside their direct influence but it is sill transparent. No where near as good as drawing out all of the influence maps but much easier.
download these: drive.google.com – High Rez Map – Google Drive upload the image without background. now use the shape tool in roll20 to create shapes with a solid colour and put them BEHIND (to back) the map on the map layer. to preserve image quality use “set dimensions” to scale the map and disable the grid.
Duriel HS Oh that’s excellent, thank you. Much simpler than what I was planning (keeping a Photoshop file that I’d change between games and upload the latest jpg version each week). Bravo.
