Hi all,
For those of you who supports the beautiful Ryan Dunsleavy’s maps, how do you use them? I feel there are generally too small to use for a score. Is it my view of scores ? Do you use them for something else? How do you do for scores?

You can of course zoom in quite a lot so they become very useful for local area maps. I was slightly disappointed that there were not more small canals in northern Silkshore as the text specifically calls them out.
I never use a map for a score but purely describe the scene and as the score normally doesn’t need any sort of map beyond a description they aren’t missed. For example I say the the target is a two storey house on a grimy street using the tables to generate the look, feel and smell of the area. The house might be described internally as having two rooms downstairs and two upstairs with a central door and passage from front to back leading out into a rear yard containing a herb garden, or chickens or a pig depending on the owner. If it’s a significant person with more of a mansion I’d describe the exterior and then when they entered describe various room but never provide a map unless it’s particularly complicated when I might sketch something out. As I’ve play most Blades games on-line I rarely need an actual map anyway.
I took the map from the free downloadable sheets. It’s a vector graphic, so you can print it in every size you want.
If you use it for playing or not, i think it’s quite decorative and gives some flavor, even just lying on the table 😉

I use the building maps a lot to I inspire actions. Little details like the placement of a table or window can matter a lot sometimes, and a nice map of the space keeps us all on the same page.
John Harper Yeah those details are nice, I generally use them during free play and it helps building the whole stuff. Do you also use them for scores?
Yes
