More Crews! Raiders this time, plus I’ve refined the crew sheets a little bit more. I’m finding it easier to narrow down the Cargo Cult (now named “Shepherds”) by comparing my choices there with the (mostly a Breakers reskin) Raiders crew.
The idea behind the Raiders comes from our good friends Toecutter, Humungous, the War Boys, Ironbar, and the hordes of generic bad guys in the Fallout games. They’re all about living fast, dying fast, and using the friction they generate to their advantage. In contrast, the Shepherds have many more options for reducing attrition, defending themselves, and obtaining stuff. The Raiders should always be hungry.

Haha, I also stole the vehicle conflict ability from Smugglers, and the flaw/+Quality ability from Hawkers, for my Breakers reskin.
The crew upgrades are good. Those are tough.
Are you doing this in Photoshop? It looks like you recreated the sheet.
Thanks! I’m thinking “Rule of Fear” needs more teeth as it is. Maybe a potency or effect boost, or grant that boost if you also have a level of Hatred.
I made the sheets in plain old Google presentations. I’m trying for a 1e Gamma World look but the fonts aren’t quite there.
I used to have one like Rule of Fear, but I replaced it with something else (maybe the +1d to Resist from Breakers?) and made the +Intimidation bonus a Claim.
I like the structure of Salt the Earth. A situational +1 Rep bonus is a good idea.
I’m saving the overall resistance bonus for the Relics crew; my Raiders are all offense. Thanks for the vote of confidence on Salt the Earth, as that’s the one I don’t think I ripped directly from anywhere else.
Cooooooooool
This is so fun! Bravo.
(I agree that the fonts need an overhaul.)
I’M SO GLAD I’M NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO GIVES CONTACTS NAMES WHO ARE ALLUSIONS TO THINGS.
Trying to make clever references while still attempting to make the contact names sound gender-neutral is tricky, though. 🙂
Adam Schwaninger Yeah, it’s easier for me because my setting dwells within “reality” (hehhhhhhhh……..). Speaking of gender-neutral names, I pulled a trick with one of my playbooks: “The Pair”. You play a plural amount of shitty people instead of one competent one, and all your contacts are other couples. In every couple, I wanted have one name that is gender neutral and one that isn’t. “Alex & Rosemary, coffee house owners” “Bryan and Dakota, story gamers”
Well played.
