5. I know forums are quite outdated in 2019, but they still are my favourite way of discussing on the internet. Discourse should be great, maybe just too much heavy in terms of resources. Regarding more classic solutions, instead, I still find that Simple Machines Forums is doing a great job.

6. Several game communities have moved to discord servers … discord doesn’t seem quite as accessible as G+ alas.

7. I feel like Discord is fundamentally less permanent than forums. It’s fine for real time chat!
