I made a little chart of the flow of the core mechanic, as I see it (specifically for Scum and Villainy but I think it’s the same for Blades). My goal was to lay out everyone’s responsibilities and the order in which they need to be fulfilled. Thought y’all might have feedback or enjoy it. It’s not the prettiest, but I think my first time players will find it helpful.

nice! I tried to do the same thing here with mixed results: technicalgrimoire.com – technicalgrimoire.com/files/ForgedDarkSheet.pdf
I like it, with one quibble:
In blades, players often have a majority hand in setting the scene. They decide the nature of the scores, they set up scenes for downtime, and more! It’s up to the GM to portray NPCs and embody the obstacles
Justin Ford That’s true! I was thinking of from the engagement roll on, primarily, but I wasn’t remembering that the core mechanic will be used outside of the score, too.
This diagram does a nice job of summarizing the flow. As a visual person, I find this really helpful.
