Does anyone remember the Midnight RPG from Fantasy Flight Games? It was early in the D&D 3e days, a very cool spin on traditional fantasy. I think it would make a good hack for BitD, hoping someone else has already thought of it…! 🙂

I finally saw the movie on Amazon. For Grade B fantasy, it’s not bad. Only real negatives were structure and fight scenes.
That whole line is available in PDF. Occasionally, it gets discounted/bundled, but not very often.drivethrurpg.com – DriveThruRPG.com – Fantasy Flight Games – Midnight – The Largest RPG Download Store!
It would make an interesting Bundle of Holding to combine the Midnight line with Blades in the Dark and other heist/crime games.
Ooh, I like the sound of that.
Lester Ward I think some of them are on special at the moment, it’s really worth it. Even if you just use it for the setting. Maybe I need to look at converting it as a long-term project (at least a 10-segment clock!) 🙂
For those of you who’ve made a Forged in the Dark game, where would you even start when converting an existing game to a BitD format…?
Lester Ward Actually, they’re ALL of special at the moment! 🙂
I don’t think they are marked down currently. Fantasy Flight Games does that dumb thing where they set the list price of a PDF to be the price of the print version, then permanently “mark down” the PDF to more rational PDF price. So, it’s hard to tell when they are really on sale.
Ugh, I hate that practice.
Ah yes, I see now. That is a bit of a strange way of doing things. $50 for a PDF of a game that is more than 10 years old…?
Jeff Barber wrote the setting material for midnight. His new game Upwind is being printed or shipped or about to be printed. It might be of interest https://www.biohazardgamespublishing.com/upwind/

Ah man, I remember Midnight 😀 I initially thought Obsidian Entertainment’s Tyranny was based on it.
Jeb Boyt There’s a movie?
Renaud van Strydonck Yep. Produced by FFG.
