I believe the cover material you’re referring to is Soft Touch coating. I assume you’re talking about that matte finish, kinda soft and rubbery cover, picks up fingerprints like an episode of CSI? It’s pretty nifty stuff.
It has the tendency to turn into sticky goo after a few years. I hope they’ve improved the technology in the last five years or so.
