In a moment of trawling the internet I was looking for giant eel photos to terrify my players and came across the below….
Now even better colour for the game the huge eels hunted by packs of giant horrific sea/river otters. Also also made me realise a possibility with few horses and dogs probably being the preview of the rich noble houses. Otter racing is now the sport of the masses several marked (dyed or tagged) otters are wrangled in to a small side channel with a tasty eel corpse then dumped at the other end of the channel first one past the line wins. Horrific blood sport/racing and something for my gambling vice players to enjoy 🙂
I bet this sport was imported by the Skovlanders, the otters are probably from their cold and dirty country.
