Quick rules question:

Two lurks in my Tier 0 gang did a group action against a Tier 2 vault. We created a four part clock for breaking into this vault door.

I had determined that their base level of effect would be standard, modified by the quality advantage of the T2 vault pushing it down to no effect. Their quality tools pushed it back up to limited effect.

My questions are, did they also have a scale effect here, both of them working on the vault door pushing them up to standard effect?

Also, on a success with the group action, since there were two of them doing the action, assuming limited effect, does that mean they just tick 1 segment off of the clock, or do they tick 1 segment x the two of them for a total of two segments?

  1. 1 or 2 people is still scale 0 anyway

A word on factors. Scale/potency/tier only matters when it counts. If having a group doesnt help (like when only one can work on it at a time), it’s irrelevant as far as factors are concerned. If it makes things worse, higher scale would be a negative factor (for example, during certain getaways or sneaking)

Also, group actions don’t multiply the results by the participants; instead you get to take the best of a larger pool of dice. And possibly benefit from scale
