I’m finally among the lucky that have aspecial edition in-hand. I love the game and I love the book, but I’m a little disappointed that there’s a streak of gloss along the left side that throws off the matte and glossy finish. The book was wrapped very tightly in a bubble-padded UPS envelope, then placed in a regular box with packing balloons. It looks like bubble-padding rubbed off stone of the matte finish in transit, maybe because it was so tightly wrapped.
It’s not enough of a problem that I want to return it, but maybe whichever company packed it should be told they need a better process for books with this kind of cover.

Hi David Johnson, we’ve seen a few issues like this (most of them more pronounced) that were printing errors. It doesn’t look like this is too bad, but if you’d like a replacement copy, send me an email (seannittner at gmail) and I’ll get it sent out.
Minor damage or not, that still looks downright amazing! Now I wish I’d have known more about this game sooner. LGS owner introduced me to it and now I am eagerly awaiting my own copy!
When stuff of mine gets a bit banged up in the post I just tell myself that it represents the long journey it made to get to me (to stop myself getting out of proportion sad about tiny things! hehe).
