HI!

HI!

HI!

Bit late to this community but I have been looking at purchasing a BITD book and if shipping to Australia is available?

I’m just wondering is the special edition still available for purchase?

And if so what difference is there between the standard and the special edition.

Also, for non kickstarter backers, are the rewards available in PDF form once the book is purchased?

Just curious as to how I can get my mitts on as much as the content as possible.

Thanks!

  1. The special edition is the core rules plus a second city’s worth of content; however, it was only available via kickstarter. You will have to settle for standard edition.

The status of kickstarter rewards is still uncertain, and will depend on their individual writers. For example, Sean Nittner’s Vigilantes playset is free on his website, while Stras Acimovic’s Scum & Villainy is on DriveThruRPG for pay what you want. No other rewards have been released yet, as they are all in the process of being written.

  2. Yeah as already mentioned the book is avalible on the evil hat site. Shipping to Australia is avalible.

The special edition was only avalible through the kickstarter or backerkit preorder which is now closed. The special edition has a different cover and some other embellishments as well as a second city guide of U’Duasha. That extra content might be made avalible digitally down the line.

Again as already mentioned, buying the book doesn’t net you the kickstarter rewards. Some of the addons like Vigilantes and additional crews like Grifters will be avalible for free and you’ll be able to find all those on the Blades in the Dark website once it’s live. But for the other hacks like Blades Against Darkness and Scum & Villainy and the other it’s the choice of their designers how they are released. Generally that means you’ll have to buy them when they come out.

  3. Awesome, thanks for the replies!

Unfortunate that they would gate the special edition, but I guess then there wouldn’t be an incentive to back the project on kickstarter.

    Thanks
