  1. Really excited to see where this goes! I’ve been wanting to dive back into DH for about a year now, but every time I try, the mechanics make me recoil. I used to run it a long long time ago, and I don’t want to go back to that dark place of to-hit-location-tables!

  2. Ben Scerri yeah, I’m incredibly fascinated by the whole 40k rp universe, but the mechanics are way too much to handle. Clearly this is different from standard Blades (to the point of almost not having a crew sheet), but I wanted to focus the whole rep/heat/vice mechanism on the struggle between faith in the Emperor and the “unholy temptation of free thought” 🙂

  3. RoosterEma sounds like an interesting shift. I’ve been thinking of doing a small hack of Blades for WFRP, centred around the city of Marienburg and all the crime and corruption there, or maybe Praag and the hellish forces there. Keen to see how yours turns out, as it sounds like I may be able to draw some inspiration from it!

  4. Adept looks AMAZING! Only two things to point out:

Under Encyclopedic Knowledge, it should read “…one useful fact about it.”, rather than “…one useful information about it.”

Under Loremaster, it should read “Twice per operation…”, rather than “Two times per operation…”

Really looking forward to the other playbooks, and how you’re handling Wealth (I’m assuming you’re looking into a Requisition-like trait ala Deathwatch?)

  5. Ben Scerri I worded Loremaster same as the Spider’s Foresight, which says “two times per score”. I agree that “twice” would sound better. Wealth is handled as salary, it is individual (earn 1 to 3 per operation) and can be spent same as coin. Lifestyle is equal to 1/2 your current salary, rounded up. It’s not 100% final though: if I find a better alternative I’ll use it.

  6. These are fantastic! Great job (and insanely quick, too). I’ll be showing these to my group, and I’ll see if I can drum up another 40k game 🙂

I did see an error, though. On Tech-Priest, under Transport Engineer, the second instance of “vehicle”” is misspelled “veicle”.
