So I have just rolled up Demonic Notice as an entanglement for the first time and I’m kinda stumped over the Dark bargain the demon will offer. What sort of deals has been offered to scoundrels of other crews here?

  1. In my first demonic notice the demon “asked” the scoundrels to murder some deathseeker crows in flight. They ditched him and told the spirit wardens about the demon plans.

  2. I tend to use demons as masterminds behind nearly every bad thing happening in in Doskvol. The great thing is that it doesn’t have to make sense from a human point of view. So, an un-/anti-logic thing (like murderding deathseeker crows as Roe Portal said) is just as good as a thing obvious contributing to some conspiracy. I use the cool demon table to figure out what the demon wants and go from there. In my world demons have conflicting plans and different goals, so another goal for them may be to spoil a competitors plan.

  3. I had a demon interfere with my crew’s plans for a while. When their leader approached the demon and asked if it was a declaration of war, the demon asked “Do you declare war on an anthill?”

  4. In my mind demonic deals aren’t necessarily bad deals, but they always strain or push the boundaries of what you’re willing to do or your morality. Examples in my games include:

A demon named Zirox making a deal with a Whisper to become a tattoo for them and help fight as long as it is provided with the souls of many victims.

Setarra making a deal to protect the PCs from Zirox’s wrath after that went badly, but only if they get her some fresh leviathan blood (of which the city now has a shortage). A lot of the danger with demons is not just in the deals they offer, but

    1. “I am altering the deal. Pray I don’t alter it any further.”

    2. What happens when you get on the demon’s bad side.
