Awesome show Sean! I like how various parts of BitD ‘canon’ established from broadcast APs slowly leach their way into the fabric of Doskvol. Your understanding of the docks ‘scene’, inclusive of Strangford and the Nightbreaker (from playing Arcy) was so so atmospheric in establishing context here.
How did you establish what gangs were doing what scores? Like the Red Sashes fleecing merchants? Was it just what you thought was cool? Riffing of the players’ input? Did you roll on the excellent random tables in the book? Just curious to your process is all. Great game group by the way!
Thanks Nathan. Since we were setting the Grey Cloaks game some time back in the setting, I looked at the factions that had recent things happen to them (like Roric dying) and tried to figure out what they were doing before that happened and what pressures might have led to that. As for Derret being there to mess with the Hunter… I just thought that would be fun! (It was also a call out RollPlay Ep 3 where the Lancer was under repairs the the Bloodletters game where it was too. Those ships get trashed!
