Blades in the Dark Relationship Map

I have started work on a series of relationship maps to keep track of the innumerable factions of Duskvol. I am using the awesome kumu.io tools – which are free for public projects – to do so. Within about another week I should have the barebones set up to allow for contributors. The idea is to have a baseline set of maps for individual GMs to fork and utilize for their own games.

Right now I am still in the process of setting up the data models, but I should definitely have something useable soon.

  1. You can import and export datasets using JSON or spreadsheets. They even have integration with Google Sheets. You won’t get information on the views and types you have set up. You can also fork existing projects, but they are still hosted on kumu’s servers.

There is a pricey option to run your own servers with a per user license, but that is meant for enterprises.

  2. This sounds awesome! I’ve been meaning to set up some kind of visualization for my players as well, in a similar vein — like the classic cork board with yarn showing the connections they become aware about.

  3. This is absolutely wonderful!

Just did the same thing for my player group (taking a copy of your Bryan Lotz’s google sheet and working from that).

It reveals so many delicious possibilities.
