What props or organizational aids do you use at your table?

I’m starting a campaign soon, and intend to use note cards to keep track of NPCs, factions, and Dramatic Questions, keeping them out on the table for everyone to see.

I also want to get a large printed copy of the Duskvol map, and maybe print some of the black and white art, for mood/set dressing.

What sort of things do you use at your table? Anything that you’ve found to work especially well? Anything that you thought would work well and was just meh?

  1. I use a PAGE O’ CLOCKS, keep a google doc for loose threads, NPCs, and story ideas, and print out a few reference documents for Pre and Post Score play (Engagement, Rewards, Downtime, etc.).

  2. I bow before Nathan Roberts as the PropMaster(TM). Faction cards are a very good idea I may add to my game, too.

I’m using the map as you would know 🙂 and I’m using NPC cards for the gritty vibe. They’re fun to build and drive the stories pretty well.

plus.google.com – Everybody’s doing NPC cards, so I did mine. Big fun between score giving Dosk…

I went from index cards to post-its for ideas and clocks because my players likes them better (one likes to keep the clocks of killed enemies at the back of his PC Sheet, like scalps on his belt). I find them a bit better to handle in the long run.

And yeah, sure, I have a blade on my table! It looks cool even if you could break it if you try to peel an apple with it 🙂 Definitely not fine qualtity.
