Re: Stress boxes.
Old versions of the quickstart had 8 stress boxes. The newer ones and the release seem to have 9 boxes, though one of them is sortof weirdly attached to the trauma track on the character sheet.
Does this mean characters now have 9 stress?
I think most playbooks have a track of 9 stress. Some of the special playbooks differ

Sean Nittner Sorry, still not understood. Is marking the 9th box already “taking out of action and take trauma” or not? The design seems to imply the first case…?
When you mark your last stress box, you are out due to trauma.
However, that rule has never changed either, as far as I can tell, so the extra box is still an extra box compared to earlier iterations.
Yep, when you take your 9th stress you suffer trauma and are taken out. Mike was just pointing out that it use to be 8 stress boxes (in previous versions) but John in his great wisdom and generosity bumped it up 9.
