Glow in the Dark

Glow in the Dark

My first super-alpha attempt at a crew sheet, the Cargo Cult. It’s mostly cribbed from the BitD Cult, but since the “deity” doesn’t represent an actual god, I’m taking it more towards a crew that can spread a message and has easier access to random stuff.

I think there’s some interesting places to go with Claims for this sort of post-apocalyptic game. Right now it’s mostly a reskin. Same with the crew upgrades – I’d expect those to change around some.

  1. Sounds good. For my post-apocalyptic hack, I’m thinking of similar ones, plus “The Legitimate Government (no really guys)”, “The Muties”, “The Librarians (guardians of culture)”.

  2. Slade Stolar those are great. I second the Legitimate Government crew type. Is that what you’d pick if you wanted to play The Postman? 🙂

Mark Griffin I’m jumping around this hack a lot. I started by refactoring entanglements (called Fallout here), then worked on this crew. My tentative playbooks are the Leftover (vault dwellers/Gamma World pure strain humans/Charlton Heston), Feral (tribals from Fallout/Feral Kid from Road Warrior), Mutant (ghoul/supermutant/gamma world), Merc (your basic killer, from Book of Eli to Walking Dead), Driver (Mad Max of course, but also Furiosa/the Mariner/Tank Girl), and Junker (Sturges/Tinker Tom/Gyrocaptain).

Probably, yes. They’d always shake hands. They’d be the smartest dressed. Speak lots of legalese about citizens and rights and responsibilities. They’d always try to get you to pledge allegiance to a little burnt bit of flag.

  4. Yup, I’m using Presentations and cheating by using snippets off the actual crew sheet. It’s ugly AF right now but everything’s up in the air. It’s a balance – for feedback you want the stuff in generally the same spots people are used to, but you can’t spend too much effort on layout at such an early juncture.
