That is, if I already have Trauma so as not to ignore my Vice
Good question
As I understand it, no.
You only over indulge if you address your vice and clear more stress than you have. If you don’t address your vice at all during downtime, you take additional stress equal to your trauma.
Neil is correct.
Right, but if you don’t have Stress, do you still have to address your vice if you have trauma?
If you choose to ignore your vice you take an amount of stress equal to your TRAUMA. This happens regardless of how much stress you have when you ignore your vice. In practice, it seems pretty unlikely that a PC won’t take stress during a score. Obviously to each his own, but I’ll almost go as far to say if you take 0 stress on a score, you did it wrong.
Mark Griffin You are totally right!
If someone didn’t take any stress during a score, then there are probably some problems at the table that need to be addressed.
This is what happens when I hammer myself with theoreticals before I actually play a game.
Yeah, it seems a bit weird at first, but it makes sense in play.
