  1. More seriously: Is the fact that they’re on loose cards an indication that they’re open choices anyone can take, or randomly assigned, or something else?

  2. I’ll need to playtest, but I’m planning on a bit of both. At the end of a session where characters get a level up, I’ll deal out some (probably between 4 and 8) and let the players choose from those. The cards are unique and currently there is a deck of 20. All the abilities are open to interpretation. For instance, #17 might mean that nobody questions them when they show up, or it might mean that they can insert themselves into scenes without any clear reason why they were able to arrive just then. A player could even potentially use this as a way to be in two places at once, if that is how they view thier characters ability.
