  1. If it isn’t outright poisonous?

My inner snakeoil salesman likes to highlight that its not only nutritious but helps against ghosts as well.

Bite of Leviathan flesh a day keeps the spooks away!

(Maybe thats how that ghost town became one XD)

  2. I see EVERYTHING that comes from a ‘viathan being highly regulated. Their blood is made into electroplasm, so who knows what their flesh can do.

Drugs? Spirit control? Instant “ghosting”? Sounds profitable…

  3. Potatoes, of course.  What else would it be?  They don’t go in a granary so raiding Skovlanders have to go through the trouble of digging them up if they want to take them.  They require such little upkeep that we can hide from monsters as long as we have to without hurting the crop.  They require such a small amount of social organization that they can be grown in as sad and ravaged a place as we find ourselves in now.  Strains that grow in dark violet daylight developed nicely out of necessity.  They did better than wheat and barely.

  4. All I can say is that John Harper never said anything about what they do with the dissolved bodies after they’ve made sure that the ghosts have been destroyed. Pâté anyone?

  5. I assumed destroying the ghost does involve destroying the body. Otherwise the ghosts wouldn’t have to look for new ones to possess / miss their old bodies..

  6. Jennifer Fuss, I was just imagining the by product was a meat slurry, which the uncaring could dry into a disturbing meat product. This line of thought is totally gross of course.

  7. If dead body byproduct is a major source of food in duskwall, do you guys feel it safe to assume that this would be food for the poor and also make those who consume it more susceptible to possession?

  8. George Pitre Chunky Meat, the finest meat in town for 0.09 coins only (try our special menu with potatoes from the Darkside). I would totally go with some form of ailment that would plague the poor that eat reprocessed human flesh mixed with leviathan grease.
