Wouldn’t he be able to perform the action or would stuff happen like “Okay, 1d but you gotta take a devils bargain”=

If your dice pool is 0 you roll 2 and take the lowest

It is still unlikely for this to happen (unless you have a series of nasty lasting effects) since the player chooses what Stat to roll. That means they should never be stuck rolling a 0 stat.

I could see it happening for a unlucky character with an relevant effect and a veteran stacked against them and maybe 2 dots in that thing without backup or devils bargain ,..
