John may correct me on this one but I believe that this came up in passing in our play-test as an answer to the question of “Aren’t there electric lights? Why are there lampblacks?” Somebody was like “Oh that’s why they’re a gang. They used to be a union and when their industry disappeared they turned to crime.”
