I just joined this group and the game seems very interesting. Especially the setting gives a nice vibe similar to Thief and Dishonored video games. The gang building level looks great, too.
Personally I am more of a traditional gamer and I like systems like BRP and Interlock. If I have understood it correctly this game uses very different mechanics. Could you tell a bit more how it works?
I know they are a bit long for some people, but the two play videos John Harper posted are really the best explanation of mechanics.
I have read an AP report and it seems to be a bit like Dungeon World. Is that correct? This also seems to have some sort of dice pool system. Am I right?
I’ve not played DW, so I can’t comment on the similarities. It is a dice pool system where you build a pool of d6’s and keep the highest. Unless your pool would be 0, then you roll two and keep the lowest
I’ve also understood there is no such role as a GM, isn’t it?
The two videos I’ve watched have definitely had what I would consider a Game Master running the scenes.
Giulia Cursi, you have your answer.
George Pitre, thank you! 😉
I noticed that there is a thread in rpg.net. It seems that there is a (small) dice pool and you pick the best result a bit like in Silhouette system. In addition to that there is this effect roll but I don’t know how it works. Maybe that is more clear in those videos?
