Hi!

I’m a player looking for a group to run with.

I’ll keep it simple; I’m a longtime roleplayer (15+ years) with experience both running and playing in a number of different systems. I’ve been following BitD for a while now via the digital release, as well as John’s excellent Roll20 sessions. I adore the game and have been eager to give it a try, but decided to wait until release before diving in. So although I’ve yet to have an opportunity to actually play the game, I’m not coming at this without rules or setting knowledge.

I am available weeknights (I am on EST, but can manage a late night), and if a weekend (Saturday/Sunday) game needs a second player, I have a PST friend eager to play as well, but his scheduling is obviously more limiting. (Full disclosure: I run a game (in a different system) every other Sunday, but I can adjust that if necessary)

I do have some experience with Roll20, but I am comfortable using whatever online service is needed.

Looking for 1 player for a session zero in about a week. I like campaigns and I have three players already who are open to that, and talking about what kind of crew to build and all that together. So, session zero.

We have two players coming in with new characters, and a third whose character has a cool backstory I want to try and use – another premise than the Starting Situation provides which would make a good setup for a haunted Breaking Bad sort of thing. Or.. we just start anew with the starting situation.

* Time: 3am UTC/10pm EST. This can vary by an hour in either direction.

* Day: Mondays or Tuesdays EST. All of us are flexible on doing this either of those nights, to the point that it can be whichever one works best for everyone each week (preferably. Every other week also ok).

* Table Experience: Each player has varying levels of experience, one having played Blades only 4 or 5 times, another who has GMed a few games and played only once, and another who played one of my Blades hack which I GMed for 17 sessions. I GMed my 36th session under this game system the other day, and have played a few games myself, and hope to bring another into the dark underbelly of Doskvol.

* Possible Story Seed I mentioned: With his former company, the Catalyst took a deal from Lyssa to murder Baszo. The alchemist synthesized some black lotus into demon crackrock, intercepted the Lampblack’s drug clientele, and kidnapped Baszo instead.

– What of the Lampblacks? And what was Lyssa told?

– Does Baszo get slumped (he was drugged up, and – after much struggling – chained to a chair after all, helpless as can be)? If so, what of his ghost?

– And what about the deal the Catalyst made with a Brightstone noble but now lacks a crew to fulfill?

Everyone is pretty much down for whatever, so come along and help us decide what we are going to get into.

It seems we are all here for the same reason and that is to find people to enjoy this fresh new TRPG. I’m looking to be a player first as I am normally a GM for my friends in other games. I kickstarted this game when it first game out and now that it is getting closer to its release I am eager to play. If anyone is looking for a player for there new or existing campaign let me know!

I’ll just put this simply:

I’ve never played Blades, but between watching the excellent Rollplay:Blades, and devouring the Early Access rules in most of my free time, I’m aching to sink my teeth into this. My current availability is any day from 4PM to 11PM (EST) excepting Saturdays. If times mesh up I may be able to find another player or two, but the current struggle is finding someone willing to GM a bunch of new players.

I am looking for a fourth player for my Blades game. The game is still in its infancy. Some crazy things have happened in our three sessions, but the crew doesn’t even have a name. One of our three players is frequently unavailable with little notice, so we’d like to bring in a fourth to make sure we always have three and can play each session. We play on Thursdays from 7:30-9:30 PST. Please comment with questions or message me if you’re interested. I’m a novice GM and my players are novice RPG gamers, so we’re looking for someone casual but committed to making a good story.

Crew Type: Shadows (With a penchant for domestic terrorism?)

Hey gang our GM recently had work changes that have made him unable to GM our game for the next few foreseeable month. As such we’re in need of a new GM. We have several fairly experienced blades players in the group currently so new GM’s who have questions about the rules and play are welcome as well as experienced GM’s looking for a group comfortable with moving at a quick pace. GM would hopefully be comfortable roleplaying all sorts of NPC’s and with players and comfortable allowing for plenty of free play opportunity and for PC’s to role play with each other and develop their characters and plots.

The campaign is still fairly early days we’ve only done 4 or so scores and haven’t directly invested too deeply in our interactions with any particular faction to the point of it overwhelmingly dictating the tone of the campaign there’s still a LOT of room to affect the campaign we’re playing with here and the players are very open to risky devil’s bargains and entanglements for the sake of interesting developments and furthering the plot. We’re wanted level 1 with 1 claim, Tier 0 Weak hold. Characters are fleshed out with separate Google Docs for each us providing reference for the crew at large and their relationships with NPC’s and in some respects each other.

Looking for more players for an open table Blades in the Dark campaign that I am gamemastering.

Open table campaigns are something I have been exploring for the past 6 months with Mouseguard.

Now I would like to experiment with this format of campaign using Blades in the Dark.

In this open table campaign instead of having the players be apart of the same crew, different groups of players will form different crews.

We play to find out what happens when players with different agendas interact in the same fictional space.

Habe Erfahrung als GM für das Spiel, möchte aber unbedingt als Spieler spielen.

Great! He was paranoid and a lost cause anyway, too much of the booze. He’s only gone and died though without telling you where he hid all the gangs stash. Half the gangs disbanded because of that. Good riddens to them.

You though, you’ve stayed. Because you’re smart. You know that he’s only been dead for a day or two and the Spirit Wardens are on a massive backlog. If you can get in there and wake the dead lazy git. You can ask him where his stash is and live the life of riches.

Is anyone running a Blades in the Dark game via Play by Post? I’m going away for the Christmas period and wondering if anyone can help me get my fix.

Does Blades work well over PbP? I may be tempted to start up a campaign in the new year when I’m back at my PC and not tied to a tablet.
