Question about Vampires, because one of my players is planning to become one:

One of the “usual” ways to become a vampire is to become a ghost and then find a body to occupy. So, its human –> ghost –> vampire.

Rules say that changing from human to ghost you keep your actions and get bonus dots from the ghost playbook:

“When you transfer your character to the Ghost playbook, add all of your

current action ratings to the ratings on the Ghost playbook. You may not have

an action rating greater than 4.” (hunt, prowl, attune)

Next step is the change to the Vampire playbook. Again you add action dots from the new playbook. This time it’s a loooooot of additinal dots: Hunt, prowl, skirmish, attune, command, sway.

So, the transition from human to vampire gives you a max of 3+6=9 dots.

Wow. Maybe some are capped at 4 dots… still wow.

Are there any of you who already saw that in your games? Is it is powerful as it seems? Is it over-the-top or manageable? What about the other players? Do they switch to puny mortals or can they they keep up somehow?

Who could be meant by that? Surely not our crews, right? 😉

Could someone please be so kind and tell my the name of Lord Strangford’s Leviathan Hunter ship? My searching abilities have left me and I’m pretty sure it’s here somewhere…? Please?

Thanks for the time and effort.

Hi everybody!

Hi everybody!

Hi everybody! I want to crowdsource an idea / discuss the next score setting for my awesome crew. I hope for some of your ideas because it may be the final episode of season 1 and I’m not sure if my ideas rank high enough on the awesome-scale for that.

Starting point is the case file on Lord Strangford for which the Blue Coat police station in Six Tower has burned to the ground and for which the Gray Cloaks were expelled/formed.

For me Lord Strangford is not only badass enough to got this deal done have high rank Bluecoats deep in his pocket but the case file still exists as part of his trophy exhibition. He is the kind of man who has a collection of those status symbols which show that he is not only playing the law as one of his instruments but to show, too, that he is way above these petty institutions. His ego needs those pieces to show off to peers and as a show of might.

Now, it would be easy to let this case file burn and to be rid of it once and for all, but he wanted to have it as part of his collection and there it is for my shadows to take it.

Question for you (and some of my ideas): What would be the coolest location to keep it and how is it secured? It should be a location which is intended to impress as well. A worthy location for that kind of exhibition, so all gloves are off for the weird stuff:

– In his estate, maybe a seperate shadow room in the ghost field? The City Council room?

– Somewhere in the Deathlands or high at sea? Maybe some kind of “oil plattform” / industrial complex

– Somewhere only a demon could provide safe passage to (we all know that he has a bound here, right?)

– Somewhere clearly visible/public because it shows that you have to have real cloud to get all those might people to look the other way?

– …?

On the other hands there are his enemies from which the place should be hidden, like the other Lords from the city council, Spirit Wardens, Lord Governor, …

Curious of your ideas and THANKS A LOT for your input.
