Linked Plans, Extended Scores, and Stress Recovery – would like to hear thoughts on possibly increasing opportunities for stress recovery during Scores that may unfold over an extended time period, say, a couple of days.

For example, if you had PCs needing to travel for a couple of days covertly across enemy territory before engaging in the main Score, would you allow them opportunities to recover Stress at some ratio per night (say, 1 Stress for 8 hours rest) or allow them minor Downtime Activities that would let them recover some lost Stress?

I would consider the example as at least two Linked Plans, and the descriptions of Linked Plans provided in the core indicates DTA between Scores. However, in the above instance, there would not be a natural break in the action to insert Stress Recovery.

Assistance vs. Group Action: what determines when a PC can utilize one vs. the other?

For context, if two of my PCs want to Gather Information from a contact, what is the distinction (or, is there one) between assistance and a group roll?

My point being, a group roll seems altogether preferable (all PCs present can roll, stress only on 1-3, etc.) to an Assist.

What am I missing? Is it the trade-off between the 1 stress for the Assistant and the potential for more stress for the Leader of the Group Action on a failure (balanced by the fact that you have more opportunity for success)?

I just picked-up the rules and have run a couple of playtests, including combat. I felt like it was a satisfactory outcome and very cinematic but it always helps me to see how more experienced GMs/groups run their action.

Very much liking what I’m seeing.
